Spring Flower Market
Spring Festival Flower Market has a long history in Guangzhou. During the festival, a row of bamboo sheds selling flowers, fresh fruits and Lunar New Year supplies will be erected on the flower market. People call it the “Flower Street”. On the eve of the Spring Festival, all major parks hold flower markets. Flower farmers from all over the country come in, selling flowers and oranges. They did not disperse until the early morning of the first day of the new year.
Guangzhou Light Show
The Flower City Plaza light concert is part of the “Guangzhou New Year, Watch Flower At Flower City” series of activities. With the Guangzhou Tower as the center, the night view on both sides of the Pearl River and the new central axis as the background, it is linked with the live music of Huacheng Square, and a large-scale city light show is staged every half hour.
Canton Temple Fair

Boluo Temple Fair
During the Boluo Temple Fair, villagers and benevolent men and women in the Pearl River Delta went to the Nanhai Temple in Huangpu from all directions to pray for blessings, sightseeing, or shopping.

The Central People’s Government Committee passed the “Resolution on the National Day of the People’s Republic of China” in 1949. On October 1st of each year, it celebrates the grand festival of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, that is, National Day. There will be celebrations and military parades on different scales every 5th or 10th anniversary.

Guangzhou’s parks are widely distributed in eleven districts. Except for a few parks that are scenic spots, such as Baiyun Mountain Scenic Area and Guangzhou Zoo, all major parks in Guangzhou are free to enter.
Among them, the People’s Park (Central Park), opened in 1917, was the first comprehensive park in Guangzhou and the first free park in Guangzhou.
In addition to serving as an open space for citizens, many parks also have special historical significance, such as the Guangzhou landmark Five Rams Stone Statue in Yuexiu Park, the Tomb of the 72 Martyrs Huanghuagang, the Guangzhou Uprising Martyrs Cemetery, and the Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall.
